While new technology holds the promise of making our courts better, it comes with new sets of concerns around security.
CTC 2019 is bringing a host of engaging sessions to our Security track. Here’s just a couple.
Cybersecurity remains a top concern for courts. As we hear stories, nearly daily, of compromises and data breaches, it becomes abundantly clear that it is a matter of “when” not “if” a cybersecurity incident will occur. This session asks the question: Are you prepared?
Having a well-defined, exercised, and regularly reviewed incident response plan allows you to identify, minimize the damage, and reduce the cost of a cyber-attack while finding and fixing the cause to prevent future attacks. In this session, you will hear how one court developed and implemented their incident response plan and how it performed in a recent, actual incident.
Another CTC 2019 security session will delve into addressing staff training in the identification and avoidance of risks that come through email and other social engineering strategies. You’ll take home ideas on implementing great training strategies to reduce human level security risks in your courts.
